L&#039;empreinte carbone d&#039;une entreprise est profonde et comprend tout, depuis la production et le transport des mati\u00e8res premi\u00e8res vers le stockage et le transport des mat\u00e9riaux dans l&#039;usine, jusqu&#039;\u00e0 l&#039;\u00e9nergie utilis\u00e9e pour convertir les mati\u00e8res premi\u00e8res en un produit final. Dans de nombreux cas, les transformateurs cherchant \u00e0 r\u00e9duire leur empreinte carbone peuvent utiliser des technologies facilement disponibles pour r\u00e9duire leur consommation d\u2019\u00e9nergie et de mat\u00e9riaux.<\/p><p>\u00ab Alors que les transformateurs luttent pour r\u00e9pondre aux exigences actuelles en mati\u00e8re de durabilit\u00e9, la pompe \u00e0 engrenages s&#039;est impos\u00e9e comme une solution \u00e9cologique incontournable, \u00e9prouv\u00e9e pour r\u00e9duire la charge \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique globale de la ligne d&#039;extrusion tout en minimisant simultan\u00e9ment la quantit\u00e9 de mat\u00e9riau requise pour le produit \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Don Macnamara, directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de PSI-Polymer Systems Inc. \u00ab Cela permet d&#039;utiliser le 100% de rebroy\u00e9 sans compromettre la coh\u00e9rence du r\u00e9sultat et en minimisant les rebuts dus au d\u00e9marrage ou les dimensions hors sp\u00e9cifications. Les plastiques ne vont pas dispara\u00eetre, et il nous incombe, en tant qu\u2019acteurs de l\u2019industrie, de produire de mani\u00e8re plus responsable. La pompe \u00e0 engrenages nous aide \u00e0 y parvenir.<\/p><p>En prenant en charge la fonction de g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de pression pour la fili\u00e8re, la pompe \u00e0 engrenages permet \u00e0 l&#039;extrudeuse de traiter le m\u00eame volume, ou souvent plus, \u00e0 un r\u00e9gime inf\u00e9rieur. Cela se traduit par moins d\u2019\u00e9nergie n\u00e9cessaire pour produire un volume sp\u00e9cifique de production. M\u00eame si cette quantit\u00e9 d\u2019\u00e9nergie est sans doute faible, elle s\u2019additionne, explique Macnamara. Consid\u00e9rons une extrudeuse fonctionnant \u00e0 100 tr\/min, 24 heures\/jour, 5 jours\/semaine, 50 semaines\/an. Cela \u00e9quivaut \u00e0 36 millions de tr\/min\/an et un gain de rendement de 10%-25% \u00e0 un tr\/min inf\u00e9rieur et une baisse des amp\u00e8res d&#039;extrudeuse correspondants, ce qui am\u00e9liore consid\u00e9rablement l&#039;empreinte \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique du produit.<\/p><p>Un autre avantage \u00e9cologique de la r\u00e9duction de la pression de refoulement est la r\u00e9duction de la charge du moteur de l&#039;extrudeuse, ce qui entra\u00eene d&#039;importantes \u00e9conomies d&#039;\u00e9nergie \u00e0 long terme. Une pression de t\u00eate plus faible minimise \u00e9galement l&#039;usure de la vis et du canon. La charge sur le palier de but\u00e9e et la transmission est \u00e9galement r\u00e9duite, ce qui augmente la dur\u00e9e de vie B10 du roulement et r\u00e9duit le besoin de reconstruction de la bo\u00eete de vitesses. Une usure moindre entra\u00eene moins de reconstructions, chacune avec son empreinte carbone additive. Pour cette raison, PSI indique que de nombreux constructeurs OEM sp\u00e9cifient de grandes pompes \u00e0 engrenages pour les applications \u00e0 haute pression afin de soulager l&#039;extrudeuse.<\/p><p>L&#039;accent mis aujourd&#039;hui sur la durabilit\u00e9 implique \u00e9galement l&#039;inclusion de la r\u00e9cup\u00e9ration, selon le PSI. De nombreux transformateurs limitent le pourcentage de rebroy\u00e9 dans l&#039;extrudeuse en raison d&#039;une surpression r\u00e9sultant de taux d&#039;alimentation et de fusion variables des diff\u00e9rentes densit\u00e9s apparentes de la mati\u00e8re premi\u00e8re. Les jeux \u00e9troits dans la pompe \u00e0 engrenages amortissent efficacement la pouss\u00e9e de l&#039;extrudeuse \u00e0 l&#039;entr\u00e9e de la pompe jusqu&#039;\u00e0 50\u00a0:\u00a01. Dans de nombreux cas, cela se traduit par un contr\u00f4le de la pression de fili\u00e8re de +\/- 0,25%. Une pression de matrice constante maintient la variation paroi\/jauge dans une tol\u00e9rance \u00e9troite. Le fait de respecter l&#039;extr\u00e9mit\u00e9 inf\u00e9rieure des sp\u00e9cifications dimensionnelles \u00e9limine les rebuts caus\u00e9s par une production hors sp\u00e9cifications (sup\u00e9rieur\/inf\u00e9rieur).\u00a0<\/p><p>La coupe des d\u00e9chets permet d&#039;\u00e9conomiser de l&#039;\u00e9nergie en produisant le produit une seule fois et en \u00e9vitant l&#039;impact \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique du retraitement. Appliquer une tol\u00e9rance plus stricte signifie \u00e9galement utiliser moins de polym\u00e8re par longueur de produit. Par exemple, un producteur de conduits extrudant un tuyau SDR 13,5 de 1,5 pouces avait un poids moyen de 151 grammes par longueur. L&#039;ajout d&#039;une pompe \u00e0 engrenages a minimis\u00e9 le d\u00e9passement et a abouti \u00e0 un poids constant par longueur de 145 grammes. \u00c0 65 pieds\/min, 20 heures\/jour, 5 jours\/semaine et 50 jours\/an, les \u00e9conomies de 6 grammes ont \u00e9limin\u00e9 257\u00a0940 livres de l&#039;empreinte du produit. Cela repr\u00e9sente environ un million de livres retir\u00e9es de la production en quatre ans tout en fabriquant constamment des tuyaux de haute qualit\u00e9.<\/p><p>PSI note \u00e9galement qu&#039;une pompe \u00e0 engrenages peut r\u00e9duire la demande de refroidissement suppl\u00e9mentaire pendant le processus d&#039;extrusion en r\u00e9duisant le chauffage de cisaillement induit par la contre-pression. Cela peut conduire \u00e0 des \u00e9conomies d&#039;\u00e9nergie suppl\u00e9mentaires en r\u00e9duisant la charge sur le syst\u00e8me de refroidissement.<\/p><p>Selon le PSI, la mesure dans laquelle une pompe \u00e0 engrenages en polym\u00e8re peut r\u00e9duire la consommation d&#039;\u00e9nergie d\u00e9pend du processus et de l&#039;\u00e9quipement sp\u00e9cifiques utilis\u00e9s.
